I am a Berlin based photographer from Istanbul, Turkey. The contrast between where I am from and where I live often brings me an alien feeling, which I try to portray through my work.
I believe in curiosity as a precious tool in both my artistic research and commercial persona, be it in portrait, fashion, nudes or any form of documenting people and their stories. Themes like nudity, beauty, the female form and vulnerability are very present questions I ask myself, my models and the viewer through my photographs. Connecting, debating and seeing how people go about their lives allow me to relief my sense of alienation: with my camera, I am more human, more present, more Emre.
